So i've been away again...

Coursework, College, School placement, Job, Broken arm and Singlemummydom...will oddly in fact get in the way of me blogging.

Funny that. Who knew?

Anyway recap ahoy.

We went to Blackpool this summer, just for the day, just me and Cora. It was nice to get away and i definatly needed a break and take in the sea air. Things have been kind of much lately. 

I've been skint since Harry Potter but we did manage to go to the sea life centre, have an ice cream on the beach, do a bit of retail theropy and a giggle.

Next up in my busy schedule?

- Sisters Hen Lunch and Evening do.

- Finish last 2 units of my Teaching Assistant course.

- Learn how not to want to kill people at the jobcentre now I have to sign on.

- Look for a job.

- Lose all the weight I have put all back on for a second time now.

- Wedding.

- Find a boyfriend.

Race for life

On my actual Birthday it was the Race for Life again in Manchester.

 We raised just short of £100 and to be honest it was a lovely day for a walk no matter how long the walk was.

Nope.

God I feel old.

Not that I wasn't already feeling it but god it hit me like a freight train.

Anyway Birthday party had.

Another thing to tick off on my list of things I want.

We went, we saw, we had a dam ball we did.

Best best BEST thing ever EVER in the world EVER!



 Not even joking, it was the most chilled out day, even if I did have a broken arm in a sling and then felt sick from pain killers on the ride home.

Best day ever, wasn't even tired, Cora loved it and me and Tracy are just god dam awesome.

Crap.

Well it appears I can't have everything I want! I've gone quiet because it's been hard to type!

Over a year ago I was hit by a car on the school run.
I wasn't hurt, but then a few days after couldn't move my right arm.

I was told I had a trapped nerve, then when it was getting worse I was told it was tendinitis and I have been having physio since.

This week something went pop. An xray showed my arm has a fracture and part of the cartilidge in my elbow has moved into my arm. I can't move it.

Treatment? pain killers, anti inflamitories, more physio and wishful thinking.

I missed a college deadline, can't brush my hair, have Cora to contend with for the next two weeks as she's off school and don't even ask me about my placement or job!!!!

Ok so to recap:

New year new start, no resolutions just an new affirmed confidence that I will get everything I want.

I want a job.
I got a job.

I want to cut ties with individuals and situation sapping my energy and wasting my time.
Goodbye cretins.

I want to be able to do more stuff with cora without worrying about money.
Hogwarts express trip with Harry potter tour and Liverpool trips in the offing.

I want to retrain.
Hello student life.

On the 25th it's the last day of this term but also Red, White and Blue day in order of the upcoming jubilee celebrations in both of the schools I work at. So I made this :)

Just what I needed, a break from my coursework to get my crafty onnnn.

April

Considering April has the least days in which my little girl actually has to be in school, therefore requiring some imaginative trips out to cure the boredom and tantrums galore, we went to the Manchester Museum.

It's the first time I have ever been and the first time I have ever seen the bones of a dinosaur.

Until this point I think I thought it was all a myth. While there and in witness to all the 'things' that used to be around back then, which may I add include a crab the size of a VW beetle... I took this, which was more difficult than you think!!!

Even better though is the fact that it looks like it's about to squish someones head with one step forward. I thankyou that man whoever you are!

Definitely worth a trip and completely FREE.

I want to retrain.

Researched courses on the Monday.
Rang up for general enquiries on the Tuesday.
Got a phone call on the Thursday.
Got 2 placement offers on the Friday.
Enrolled on the following Wednesday.

I am now a level 2 teaching assistant student.

Yeah..... I know.

February - Hogwash? no HOGWARTS!

These are the most unattractive photos of me to date, but quite frankly I don't care as it's the only evidence I have of me being sat on the actual Hogwarts express from the Harry Potter films.

I can't believe me and Cora got to sit in the same cabin Harry, and Ron met in for the first time...and gush and gush and gush.

Can you tell I'm a big harry potter fan? No?

I hardly ever have money, me and Cora don't get to do much stuff, it was 6 weeks after Christmas, a week after Cora's birthday and it just so happened a bit of money fell in my lap as did the info that it was the last day for wizard week at the national rail museum in York.

I want to take Cora to go on the Hogwarts Express. Wish granted.

So far i'm liking 2012, a lot.

I want a Job.

I got a Job. Scary no?

9 days into the year and someone hands me a job...it's only taken 6 years!

This 'I want I get' thing, is some good shiz.

So yes...Job... I'm a welfare assistant, which is a fancy new term for dinner lady!

Children of the resolution

This year I decided not to make any new years resolutions but simply just decide that I would just get what I want this year.

Bit 'gressive of me but when you have been subject to waiting it out for more than a few years now and... well... wallowing,  I'd say aggressive grabbing of what you want by the balls is a healthy reaction, finally.

So yes...

2012 will be the year of my making. I will get everything I want.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry! I haven't kept up with this blog at all. I just kind of checked out for a while and in all honesty I needed it.

I spent some time looking at myself and working out a lot of stuff and hopefully the outcome will mirror the way I feel at the moment, which is kind of happy.

I know shock horror, I'm happy.

I meant to get back on the blog wagon in January, but I really didn't want to spend a night sat at my PC when things around the house needed doing lol but now that's out of the way hopefully over the next couple of days I'll be in the blog present but for now...it's catch up time :)

2. Goodbye little friend. unfortunately Luie Moo Cow our rabbit passed away.
3. My vintage heart bargains off ebay, 2011 was full of pretty things.
4. This year we grew lettuces, everything else died! Eeeesh.
5. Race for life. Another year of raising funds for charity in the name of Nanna Mo.
6. Blackpool, sandy funnage was had. it was a like a mini holiday even if we did miss the coach on the way home!
7. Jelly wonder! I made this for the royal wedding slimming world party, it was yummeh!
8. Helloooooooo! First photo of Doppel our new rabbit.
9. France, we went over to visit the in-laws. Things were good.
10. A Dress! 2011 was the year Bree wore a dress.
11. Halloween...I was supergirl.
12. This year we had a proper christmas including paersonised christmas cards and jumpers of wonder!
